Vintage Hmong Pillow 12 x 20" | Indigo Batik Hemp Cushion with Vintage Hand Embroidered Ribbon- Coral, Pink and Faded Blue Indigo
This unique boudoir pillow is made with a combination of luscious textiles.
For the right side panel, I've used a gorgeous Vintage Hmong organic hemp which has been batik painted and dyed with natural indigo plant dye. This textile is vintage circa 1980s.
I've accented the indigo blue with a hand-crafted pink vintage embroidered Hmong ribbon from the Hmong Hill Tribes of Northern Vietnam and Southern China.
The pretty thread colors in the embroidered ribbon match so wonderfully with the colorful striped woven cotton on the left side.
The pillow back is a blue/gray lightly slubbed cotton.
This chic lumbar cushion is the perfect home accessory in a bohemian home interior or a colorful eclectic home. A real treasure to someone who appreciates vintage textiles and traditional arts.
It can be mixed in with other colors and textures on a sofa or day bed or as an eye-catching accent in a simple modern interior placed on a bed or occasional chair.
