About Karen Wilson, Founder of Casa Karima Weddings & Events

With a background in international wedding and event design and planning, my work has always been shaped by my natural creativity in design and aesthetics, a deep love for travel, thoughtful coordination (yes, I love to plan), and human connection. That foundation is what ultimately led me to Peru, and to the work I love to do today.

Now based in the Sacred Valley, my business is rooted in connection, care, and deep respect for the place I call home. Through Casa Karima, I design and plan destination weddings, elopements, and surprise proposals for couples who want more than a beautiful backdrop. They are seeking an experience that feels intentional, personal, and truly unforgettable, one that allows them and their guests to experience Peru in a deeper, more meaningful way.

My role is to bring the right people together. I work closely with local venues, communities, and creative partners to shape celebrations that feel authentic and well considered. When couples choose to include Andean ceremonies, I collaborate with trusted local ceremony leaders where cultural awareness and sensitivity are essential. We support one another like family, working together to create experiences that feel genuine, respectful, and connected to this land. In every celebration, I act as a bridge, helping couples experience Peru beyond the obvious and in ways they may not have found on their own.

 

Every wedding, elopement, proposal, or ceremony is designed to be unique to each couple, created with care, intention, and attention to what truly matters to them. I am deeply hands-on and highly detail-oriented, ensuring everything flows effortlessly so my clients can simply be present and enjoy the moment. As a result, no two celebrations are ever the same.

At the heart of it all is a love for travel, for learning about local cultures, and for welcoming people into this part of the world in a way that feels generous and considered. My greatest joy is helping couples and their guests make the most of their time in Peru, creating memories to be treasured for a lifetime and stories that stay with them long after they return home.
