A Whimsical Surprise Proposal in the Sacred Valley of Peru

When Clayton reached out to us, he had one clear vision: to create a memorable surprise proposal in the Sacred Valley of Peru that would sweep his gorgeous partner Katie off her feet. Katie had been living in Peru while studying, and she had fallen deeply in love with the country. Clayton knew this place held her heart, and he wanted his proposal to reflect both their love story and her special connection with Peru.
Exploring the Sacred Valley Together
The couple began their day with a half-day tour of the Sacred Valley. Traveling from Cusco, they explored the fascinating Moray ruins and the famous Maras salt mines.
As part of the “tour,” Katie thought she was simply enjoying a lighthearted photoshoot with llamas, completely unaware of the magical surprise that was about to unfold. From there, we whisked them away on an adventurous ride in an open-air Polaris jeep, pretending that even more photo opportunities awaited them. With the wind in her hair and the Andes all around, Katie was carefree, laughing, and fully enjoying the adventure — never suspecting what lay ahead.
The Big Moment
At last, they arrived at a remote spot with a breathtaking view of snow-capped Mount Chicon in the distance. Waiting there was a whimsical floral hoop, a stunning detail that bejeweled the landscape and added a touch of romance to the already spectacular backdrop.
It was Clayton’s moment. He got down on one knee, recited his heartfelt declaration of love, and asked Katie to be his forever. Her smile lit up the mountains as she realized what was happening, and their laughter carried across the pampas in the golden afternoon light.

Just when Katie thought the surprises were over, we revealed one more magical moment: a private dinner prepared exclusively for the newly engaged couple. Inside a cozy mountain cabin, they found a romantic table glowing with candlelight, velvet red roses, and a roaring fire stove. Over a delicious three-course meal beneath twinkling string lights, they toasted to their love and the unforgettable day they had just shared.
